Libby McNeill’s has been praised as one of the best restaurants in Marshfield! We’re all about creating genuine, fresh, and local experiences while satisfying our guests with an inviting atmosphere to relax and relish. Open for lunch and dinner and featuring a happy hour, our restaurant boasts fresh, seasonal menus filled with delicious comfort food along with rotating specials. We also offer a generous range of wine, local craft beer, and specialty cocktails.
Our Restaurant's Story
Founded in 1869, Libby, McNeill & Libby began in Chicago as a maker of canned brined corned beef. The company quickly grew and expanded with building new plants around the Midwest, including Marshfield. By 1921, the company had several factories throughout Wisconsin, many being reported as “pickling stations.” The company was a staple in the Marshfield community for over 20 years and although the factory is long gone, the rich history of Libby, McNeill & Libby is still present in the Marshfield Community.
To celebrate this unique history, Libby McNeill’s, located in Hotel Marshfield, is now a local gathering place and a welcome respite for travelers seeking a friendly atmosphere and a menu complete with comfort food that includes a small nod to the pickling plant’s famous history. With our fun and lounge-like atmosphere, it’s no wonder why we’re Marshfield’s favorite stomping ground for locals and guests alike.

Open during winter months
What are the reservation times for The Dome?
The Dome is rented in 90-minute blocks at the 1pm, 5pm, and 7pm hours.
How much does The Dome cost to rent?
There is no deposit needed to rent The Dome. There is a $100.00 food & beverage minimum requirement, or a $75.00 private dining room fee will be added to your total.
How many people can fit in The Dome?
The Dome is set with a round table and dining chairs. 6 people can fit comfortably around the table. The maximum capacity is 8 people.
How do I make a reservation?
Reservations are made by

Where should I/we go when we arrive?
When your entire party arrives, you will check in at Libby McNeill’s. The Dome Host will then assist you to The Dome entrance.
What happens if our party is late?
Unfortunately, we cannot extend or change the time of your reservation.
Is there an age limit for The Dome?
All guests must be 18 years of age or older, unless accompanied by a parent.
Is smoking allowed?
No. It is prohibited by Wisconsin State law. Designated smoking areas are found by the hotel main entrances.
Is The Dome heated?
Yes, it is heated, but you will be on a concrete patio, during the winter season. In Wisconsin.
Please come dressed for a winter activity; hat, gloves, boots, and a few layers so you can self-adjust to your personal comfort level. There will be blankets and space heaters. The Dome will be pre-staged with the heater turned on pre-arrival.
Will The Dome be closed for inclement weather?
In the event of extreme cold, blizzard or dangerous, icy conditions, we may need to cancel a reservation to ensure the safety and comfort of our guests, including if you are a guest of the hotel. You will be notified via a phone call about rescheduling your booking.
Are pets allowed in The Dome?
Pets are not allowed in The Dome.
What happens if we damage The Dome?
The Dome can be damaged by impact, direct heat or puncture. We ask that you take precautions when moving in The Dome and refrain from touching the walls and structure.
We inspect, clean, sanitize and reset The Dome after each use. A damage fee may be added should any evidence of damage be found after your visit.
What is the restroom situation?
Hotel Marshfield, Libby McNeill’s and The Dome guests are welcome to use the indoor restrooms available in the foyer of both main entrances.
Can we bring our own food and drink?
No. Alcohol and food must be purchased through Libby McNeill’s restaurant. Wisconsin State law prohibits outside items brought in and jeopardizes our liquor license…please don’t.
Are there servers to get more food and drinks when needed?
We try to limit the number of times we open The Dome as a way to keep the heat inside. Our Dome Host will be by to check in on you and your group during your reservation. You may also use the alert light in The Dome or call 715.387.2711 and ask for The Dome Host.
Can I cancel or change my reservation?
Yes, to prohibit a no-show charge of $75.00, our cancellation policy is 24 hours prior to your reservation.
You can also change your reservation, provided there are available time slots.
