What’s the award you ask? The Heart of Hospitality is a recognition program intended to acknowledge a team member who contributes to the professional culture at Hotel Marshfield. Award winners are team members who have performed a single or a series of actions that represent the spirit of hospitality. This individual’s character will celebrate the vitality of your operation, display the compassion of a hospitality professional, and execute the high standards our guests expect and deserve.
Hotel Marshfield associates will be asked to nominate one of their colleagues to receive this recognition. The hotel’s Executive Team will review the nominees and select an associate that represents the spirit of the hospitality.
Amber was selected because…since the opening in the summer of 2013, Amber came on board while we were still in our construction phase. She helped us during the move-in and set up phase and endured all the growing pains that comes along with opening a new hotel.

No one likes a phone call at 3am in the morning to get up and go in to work to solve a problem. Amber provides our entire hotel team the comfort of knowing while she’s on duty, we have no worries. It takes a special person to work 3rd shift. You’re on opposite schedules as most of the world, you don’t see a lot of daylight, and you typically don’t have a tremendous amount of company!
